This is a very personal history blog starting from my first visits as a tourist.
2020 CoVid-19
We had a great high season until rumours about a new disease Corona, CoVid-19. At the end of March most tourists had left Phuket and shortly after all hotels was ordered to close. The same for restaurants, bars, clubs, massage and malls. Nightly curfews and shelter at home order was given. Even the beaches was closed. You could only go to buy food (if you had money) or go to the hospital. Soon streets were completely empty and checkpoints with local travel restrictions within your community only.
